It accuses AfriForum of spreading misinformation and misleading United States (US) President Donald Trump about South Africa's land reform policies.

The MK Party also accused AfriForum of claiming that there's a genocide being executed against white people in South Africa.

This is believed to have led to Trump signing an executive order stopping financial aid to South Africa.

AfriForum CEO Kallie Kriel said the charges were absurd and would not cause them sleepless nights.

"This is a concerted effort to take the blame away from those responsible, and those that have acted against the interest of the people in this country. They want to make AfriForum the scapegoat while they are responsible."
