CAPE TOWN - The City of Cape Town has issued a warning that access will be limited in certain areas surrounding Muizenberg beachfront as ongoing upgrades to the beach infrastructure take place.
The renovations aim to enhance accessibility, introduce a new playground, upgrade parking facilities, and restore heritage structures for the benefit of visitors and residents alike.

The city said the public should anticipate some disruptions during this upgrade period, including reduced parking space and changes to traffic flow.
Officials, however, believe that these enhancements will ultimately boost tourism and foster social engagement in the area.
The upgrade is part of a larger R413 million project, focused on improving the resilience of the coastline, which includes enhancements to sea walls at Strand, Small Bay, and Sea Point.
MMC for Spatial Planning and Environment, Eddie Andrews, has assured residents that the beach will remain accessible at all times during the renovations.
"The informal gravel parking area along the railway line on the western side of Surfer's Corner will be closed for the next few months. We will try to mitigate the impact on the local community and users.
"Still, a project of this magnitude will cause inconveniences. I therefore request the public to adhere to the signage, to avoid the work areas, and to keep their pets away from the work sites."
