CAPE TOWN - A 55-year-old man has been arrested after being found in possession of drugs worth an estimated R9 million in Komani, Eastern Cape.
Authorities reportedly received a tip-off about a suspect, transporting narcotics from Gauteng to East London in an Isuzu truck.
Provincial police spokesperson Namdla Mdleleni said the vehicle was identified and stopped on Cathcart Road on Saturday.
He added that the South African Police Service’s K9 unit, working alongside Red Guard security officials, uncovered the drugs hidden in the back of the truck.
