Five people shot and killed in Philippi East
It is understood the victims were sitting inside a vehicle when four armed assailants approached them and opened fire.

CAPE TOWN - Five people have been shot and killed in Philippi east, Cape Town.
Western Cape police said the incident took place in the Better Life area on Friday night.
It is understood the victims were sitting inside a vehicle when four armed assailants approached them and opened fire.
The four suspects subsequently set the vehicle alight while the five victims were still inside.
Provincial South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson Novela Potelwa said the five deceased persons were first robbed before they were murdered.
"The deceased persons are estimated to be between 20 and 30 years of age. Their identity is yet to be released. Anyone with information that will assist the police investigation is urged to contact Captain Andre Lotter on 079 894 1547. The motive of the incident is part of the police investigation."
