Police investigate fatal shooting of two people in Cape Town's Athlone
A 24-year-old man and a 30-year-old female were shot and fatally wounded, they succumbed to their wounds on the scene.

CAPE TOWN - Two people have died after a shooting incident on College Road, in Rylands, on Thursday morning.
Police on duty responded to a complaint and upon arrival discovered the victims.
A 24-year-old man and a 30-year-old female were shot and fatally wounded, they succumbed to their wounds on the scene.
Another 24-year-old man was also wounded in the incident and has been taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg reassures the public that the South African Police Service's detectives are searching for the perpetrators.
"The motive for the attack forms part of the police investigation. The suspects fled the scene and are yet to be arrested. Athlone detectives are investigating two counts of murder and one of attempted murder"
