CAPE TOWN - The State finished its cross-examination of alleged underworld gang boss Nafiz Modack's accused number two, Zane Kilian, on Tuesday by presenting evidence to show he had a corrupt relationship with Modack.
Kilian is the dock to account for allegedly tracking the whereabouts of certain targets on behalf of Modack.
Modack and Kilian, along with 13 others, face 122 charges related to allegedly operating a criminal enterprise.
State prosecutor Greg Wolmarans showed the court cellphone evidence of messages between Modack and Kilian which contained information related to certain targets.
The evidence shows that Kilian sent Modack consumer trace reports for various targets, including alleged underworld gang boss, Ralph Stanfield.
Wolmarans told the court it was clear that Kilian was part of Modack's enterprise and when he acted on behalf of Modack it was to further the enterprise.
The matter will be back in court on Wednesday.
