Customers worldwide can first create a communicate Item position link in the Find My app on their iPhone, iPad, or Mac in order to communicate the position of their AirTag or Find My network accessory with the airline. Once a consumer reports a lost bag, they can share the link with the airport and baggage tracking staff, who can use it to see the item's current location and help customers find their luggage.
