JOHANNESBURG - South Africa's rich musical history will be celebrated this Saturday at the Soweto Theatre when renowned guitarist, composer, and cultural visionary, Billy Monama, presents the fourth installment of his critically acclaimed concert series, Back to the Future: The 30 Years of SA Democracy.

Monama's contributions as a guitarist, composer, and writer have completely changed how listeners see and value South African music.

Over the course of one night, this event is more than just music; it is a meaningful journey through 30 years of democracy told through the global language of song. The event blends South Africa's historical rhythms with Monama's 28-year artistic journey to create an evening of introspection, solidarity, and hope.

Along with Monama, the roster features captivating performances by the captivating Zamajobe and the soulful Moneoa. Together, they will offer a multi-genre experience that includes Afrosoul, Afro-jazz, kwaito, and jazz.

Back to the Future has become one of the most anticipated cultural events in South Africa thanks to its skillful fusion of storytelling, music, and art. Since it marks the 30th anniversary of South Africa's democracy, this year's edition, which is organised and directed by Monama, is especially noteworthy.

Each of the eight captivating components that make up the concert represents a significant facet of South Africa's changing identity.

These include Black Consciousness, which highlights the importance of music in emancipation; Tribute to the Masters, which pays homage to exceptional performers; Genesis, which delves into the origins of South African music; and Tribute to South African Women, which honors the women who have contributed to the country's musical landscape.

Ever since its launch, Back to the Future has sold out locations and attracted over 6,000 people
