CAPE TOWN - Alleged underworld gang boss Nafiz Modack's co-accused, Zane Kilian, will on Monday continue with cross-examination in the Western Cape High Court.

Kilian was grilled by prosecutors last week to answer for allegedly tracking the whereabouts of top cop Charl Kinnear before he was shot dead outside his Bishop Lavis home in September 2020.

Kilian has now charged Modack, co-accused Ziyaad Poole, and attorney Eric Bryer for being complicit in covering up Kinnear's murder.

During cross-examination last week, Kilian admitted to the court that Modack told him to contact Bryer on the day Kinnear was murdered.

Kilian claimed that Bryer helped him manufacture a cover-up story to explain why he was pinging Kinnear.

Poole then allegedly contacted Kilian, telling him to hand over his phone, prompting him to delete all incriminating evidence from the device.

State evidence shows Bryer also instructed Kilian to send his banking details to receive payments from co-accused, Ricardo Morgan.

Kilian later admitted that Bryer told him to keep his mouth shut or he would be killed, along with his family.

The State is now expected to wrap up Kilian's cross-examination.
