City of Ekurhuleni addresses EMPD being unable to issue fines

3 February 2025 | 17:48During a media briefing on 3 February 2025, the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) claimed that they are able to capture and process fines. This comes after EWN revealed that, since September 2024, EMPD had been unable to process fines due to the expiration of a contract with service provider Syntell.
