JOHANNESBURG - Some African National Congress (ANC) supporters attending the party's rally in Johannesburg on Sunday said the organisation's decline in electoral support is due to bad governance.
The ANC is hosting its January 8 rally in Alexandra, marking 113 years of existence.

Unlike most people at the stadium, Sam Sanyane is not dressed in ANC regalia.
However, the Alexandra resident said he remained a lifelong ANC supporter despite his reservations about the party’s tenure in government.
“It’s disappointing that this rally is being held in Alexandra where after 30 years of ANC governance, there is no change. They don’t build us houses, nothing - it’s embarrassing. The ANC is still our party, but it’s embarrassing us.”
Vakele Mbalukwana from the Alexandra Property Owners Rights said some good parts were left in the ANC.
“It’s not the ANC we are disappointed with, it’s the few individuals in the ANC offices that are a problem.”
ANC Gauteng chairperson Panyaza Lesufi is set to give the keynote address later on Sunday.
