CAPE TOWN - A pre-trial hearing related to the disappearance of Joshlin Smith is set to proceed in the Western Cape High Court on Friday.
Joshlin went missing from her Middelpos home in Saldanha Bay on 19 February 2024.
The State said the little girl's mother, Kelly Smith, had planned to sell Joshlin, as well as her two other children.

Smith allegedly told her co-accused she planned to sell her eleven-year-old son and her two-year-old daughter, along with Joshlin, in August 2023.
It is the State's case that on the day before Joshlin disappeared, Smith took the child to meet an unknown woman in a white car before receiving a package.
Smith and the co-accused then allegedly discussed sharing the money before Smith took Joshlin to meet the same woman the day she went missing.
The State is set to divulge more details about co-accused Jaquen Appolis and Stevano van Rhyn's involvement in the case during the pre-trial hearing.
