Police probing case of murder after man shot dead in Brackenfell

CAPE TOWN - Police are investigating a case of murder after a 42-year-old male was shot and killed in Brackenfell.
According to police, gunmen opened fire near a parking lot along Brackenfell Boulevard on Thursday morning.
The deceased had gotten out of his car and was walking towards the Brackenfell police station offices when the attack took place.
Police spokesperson, Joseph Swartbooi, said that detectives attached to the Anti-Gang Unit were pursuing leads.
"The man did not survive this onslaught on his life and was declared deceased on the scene by the medical personnel. The unknown suspects fled the scene, and they are yet to be arrested. The motive for this attack is now the subject of an investigation by the South African Police Service."
