Modack claims in court that he’s being denied his right to a fair trial

CAPE TOWN - Alleged underworld gang boss Nafiz Modack stood up in the Western Cape High Court on Wednesday to say he has been denied the right to a fair trial.
Modack and 14 others face 122 charges for various crimes related to operating a criminal enterprise.

Many of the accused have opted to testify, but Modack believes he has not been given enough time to consult with his lawyer, Advocate Bashier Sibda.
Judge Robert Henney told Modack that Sibda would have to make an application for him to ask further questions.
"Yes, your lordship, sorry to bother, I still have more instructions," Modack said.
"Mister Modack, sit down,” Henney replied.
"I'm also being denied my right to a fair trial,” claimed Modack.
