JOHANNESBURG - How does Gauteng attract billions in investments?
On Thursday, Finance and Economic development MEC Lebogang Maile shared insights on the province’s investment strategy to do just that.
The SA_ Davos feedback session at Ubuntu Kraal Lifestyle in Soweto, followed Maile's participation in the 55th World Economic Forum-annual meeting in Switzerland earlier in January.
The South African delegation was led by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
On Thursday, Maile gave feedback on Gauteng's investment strategy and plans to attract R300 billion in investments to the province
His address focused on Gauteng’s economic priorities, highlighting the province’s investment opportunities and plans to reposition the province's city region as a prime destination for global investors.
As the country gears up to host the G20 in April, the session drew attendees from government, business, and civil society, providing a platform for engagement and discussion on the province's development strategy.
