The portal for late applications in the province will close on Thursday.
Mabona added that the satellite schools would bring much-needed relief to parents who were still looking to place their children.
"These satellite schools have provided critical relief for parents having successfully accommodated more learners who might have otherwise been left without space and ensuring that every learner has access to quality education."
