SA Weather Service probes cyber attack on its systems

JOHANNESBURG - The South African Weather Service is working with authorities to probe a cyber-attack on its systems.
The service has confirmed it was targeted by cybercriminals over two days.
As a result of the attack, the weather services email system and website have been affected.
The public is advised to refer to the service's social media platforms for weather information.
Forecaster Lehlohonolo Thobela said the ICT systems went down on Sunday evening following a failed attempt on Saturday.
