Four more SA soldiers die in DRC, confirms SANDF
The SANDF has confirmed the troops died as a result of injuries sustained during combat with M23 rebels.

JOHANNESBURG - Four more South African soldiers have died in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) has confirmed the troops died as a result of injuries sustained during combat with M23 rebels.

They were part of a peacekeeping mission assisting the DRC in fighting off the rebels from overtaking the city of Goma.
This brings the total number of SANDF troops killed in that offensive to 13.
Seventeen civilians have been killed in clashes between the Congolese military and the M23 rebels.
The fighting has intensified a humanitarian crisis, displacing more than 400,000 people since the start of 2025.
