ACSA CEO Mpumi Mpofu revealed their plans for a specialised court at a media briefing at their head offices at OR Tambo International Airport on Tuesday afternoon.

"We also have an exercise this year that will see us establishing a specialised court at Airports Company of South Africa for these kinds of aviation-related crimes."

She said this would speed up the process of dealing with such crimes.

"Why do we want to do that? Very important for us to enable specialised attention to drug mules, illegal immigrants, crimes that happen at an airport, at a rapid pace."
