Family of SANDF soldier killed in DRC speak out

JOHANNESBURG - The family of one of the South African National Defense (SANDF) force troops killed in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has expressed shock following his passing.
Calvin Moagi was killed in running battles with the M23 rebels in the DRC last week
He is one of thirteen soldiers killed in the ongoing fighting.
His brother Molageng Moagi, says Calvin's death came as a big shock to the family.

He adds that his brother was a very loving and loyal person.
"He was a very kind gentleman, loyal, peaceful loving person. A hardworking somebody and he finished his training in 2013 after being recruited in January."
Meanwhile, many groups have voiced their criticisms over the challenges faced by the peacekeeping mission in the DRC with some opposition parties saying the troops are ill-equipped.
