JOHANNESBURG - The City of Tshwane has urged its residents to prepare for a 12-hour water shutdown.

On Wednesday, the city will carry out planned upgrade work on its water supply network in Arcadia.

The work is scheduled to start from 8 in the morning until 8 in the evening.

Several areas including parts of Arcadia, Hatfield, Hillcrest, Menolo Park, Colbyn, and Brooklyn will be affected.

"On Wednesday 5 February this year, the City of Tshwane will carry out a planned work to the water supply network in Arcardia along Catherine Street. This essential work is scheduled for 12hrs. The City of Tshwane apologise profusely for the inconvenience made due to the abovementioned work," said city spokesperson Lindela Mashigo.
