SACP spokesperson Monde Nqulwana praised the Hawks' actions, calling it a crucial step toward ending corruption.
"The raids validate our long-standing grievances about widespread tender fraud in the administration in the city working in the interests of a narrow, privileged group at the expense of working-class communities. The 24 January 2025 raids at mayoral committee members, Xanthea Limberg and Jean-Pierre Smith, regarding the Housing Directorate and suspected tender fraud, confirms the SACP's persistent stand in fighting corrupt governance under the DA."
