JOHANNESBURG - An eyewitness to the murder of Ashwin Mouwers, a witness in an Eldorado Park murder case, has described the moments after his callous killing.
Delmaine Steffensen witnessed Mouwers being shot and killed by two unknown gunmen outside the Lenasia Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
It was a double blow for Steffensen as Mouwers was the first witness to testify in her son’s murder case.
A defeated and despondent Steffensen explained how two gunmen shot and killed Mouwers, a crucial witness in the murder case of her son.

Mouwers was expected to testify in the murder case of Delmaine's son, Clejean, who was run over in Eldorado Park in 2021.
She said after the gunmen shot Mouwers, they simply walked off without fear.
"Two young boys, they were wearing shorts and slippers and skip t-shirts. I saw them when they were running after they shot him in the head. And they didn’t even run fast, like they were scared of anything. They just took a slow walk across the road and that’s it."
Police are investigating the accused who Mouwers was meant to testify against.
No arrests have been made.
