BMA says Grobler's Bridge remains closed following floods
This follows an assessment of the port infrastructure after heavy rainfall caused some damage to the bridge.

JOHANNESBURG - The Border Authority Management (BMA) says operations at Grobler's Bridge at the border with Botswana are still temporarily closed despite floodwaters subsiding.
This follows an assessment of the port infrastructure after heavy rainfall caused some damage to the bridge.
The BMA says it has a plan to make sure all the necessary repairs are made.

BMA's Mmemme Mogotsi said they are keeping an eye on the port's readiness for operational resumption.
"The water underground will need to be allowed to be completely dry, in order to carry the weight of the cargo trucks that pass through the port. It is anticipated that the repair and restoration process will take approximately six days to complete."
