DURBAN - Legal analyst Mpumelelo Zikalala says nothing prevents AmaZulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini Zulu from proceeding with his wedding.
On Monday, the Pietermaritzburg High Court dismissed his first wife, Queen Ntokozo Mayisela’s application to stop him from marrying another woman while their civil marriage stands.

Though the king put a stop to the planned wedding, there are still contradictory statements on whether it will continue or not.
But as Zikalala says legally, nothing stops the monarch.
"Yes the king can, in fact, in his defence or argument in the definition of the marriage we will go back to what the court said to say: 'I was not executing the final steps of the marriage, I was simply doing part processes which will then come to a marriage being formulated'."
