CAPE TOWN - Western Cape police have made a drug haul worth an estimated R1.5 million on the N1 highway.
Two suspects, aged 40 and 37, are due in court after being arrested in possession of a substantial quantity of mandrax tablets.

Police spokesperson Joseph Swartbooi said Maitland flying squad members were on patrol when they spotted a VW Golf GTI speeding on the N1 highway.
"The police members forced the driver to stop the motor vehicle near the Sable Road exit. The occupants became restless but were quickly brought under control. The members continued to search the vehicle and the occupants during which they confiscated a consignment of mandrax tablets with an estimated value of R1.5 million."
