The armed man allegedly tied up the two security guards before leading the two nurses to a nearby bush.

In addition to the alleged rape and abduction case, the suspect has also been linked to attempted murder in Ga-Molepo.

While updating the media on the G-Chuene case on Sunday, Limpopo premier Phophi Ramathuba revealed that the suspect is currently on parole.

"During the arrest, the team recovered a 9mm pistol, which had been reportedly stolen in a previous house robbery involving a female police officer attached to the Lebowakgomo police station. The suspect is also linked to several other serious crimes, including a business robbery at Thokgwaneng clinic, a house robbery and attempted murder in Ga-Molepo, and various other robberies and sexual assaults."

Limpopo police spokesperson Hlulani Mashaba says there is an ongoing investigation into the suspect's other cases.
