JOHANNESBURG - Scores of Inanda residents are calling for the release of a dozen suspects arrested in connection with the killings of five people in the KwaZulu-Natal township.
The 12 suspects were arrested on Friday after the victims' bodies were discovered in Bambayi, north of Durban.

It is alleged that the suspects are members of a local community policing forum.
Some members of the Inanda community said the township has been facing escalating violence with minimal support from law enforcement.
Residents who spoke to Eyewitness News expressed their frustration, acknowledging that while taking the law into their own hands is illegal, they felt the community was left with no choice.
“This is a difficult situation, and everyone feels a different way towards the situation. At the end of the day, we are harassed,” said one resident.
“What happened there does not sit well with me. The community has been complaining about these issues, but they have gone unheard,” said another.
The 12 suspects are expected to appear in the Ntuzuma Magistrate's Court on Monday.
