JOHANNESBURG - Limpopo Premier Phophi Ramathuba has announced that a 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the kidnapping and rape of two nurses at Ga-Chuene Clinic.
The attack took place on 10 January in Lebowakgomo.
Ramathuba said the man arrested for the attack at Ga-Chuene Clinic is not a first-time offender.
Addressing the media, Ramathuba said the suspect was released on parole in November.
Two healthcare workers were attacked two weeks ago while on their night shift duty.
It's understood that the 27-year-old entered the premises and charged the three security guards.
He then tied them up before abducting the two nurses.
The man kidnapped the two women and sexually assaulted them in a nearby bush.
The premier said more arrests are anticipated.
