DENOSA welcomes arrest of man accused of abducting, raping 2 nurses at Limpopo clinic

JOHANNESBURG - The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa (DENOSA) has welcomed the arrest of a T27-year-old man accused of abducting and raping two nurses at the Ga-Chuene Clinic in Lebowakgomo.
The suspect, who is currently on parole, allegedly kidnapped and assaulted the healthcare workers earlier in January.

He was apprehended by Limpopo police in the Capricorn district on Saturday.
The nursing union’s provincial secretary, Jacob Molepo, said the man’s arrest brings hope to the healthcare workers and residents of the area.
“The suspect was under Correctional Service supervision when committing this crime and is also linked to various criminal activities around Capricorn district.
"The arrest of this suspect gives hope to nurses and community on the role that is played by SAPS [South African Police Service] in a fight against crime in the province.”
