JOHANNESBURG - The Judicial Conduct Tribunal is on Friday expected to convene for the last time this week to continue hearing testimony against Eastern Cape Judge President, Selby Mbenenge.

The tribunal is probing the top judge after he was accused of sexual harassment by a junior staffer in his division.

Andiswa Mengo alleges that the unwanted sexual advances took place between 2021 and 2022.

The jurist allegedly sent crude and explicit images to the high court secretary and also had inappropriate in-person interactions with his junior.

Mengo struggled to compose herself while making submissions several times on Thursday.

"Chair, if I may just mention, the witness is emotional... chair."

Mengo broke down particularly when asked about the explicit images and videos she received from her boss.

She also described feeling embarrassed during the interactions.

Mengo will be back in the witness seat on Friday.
