JOHANNESBURG - The case against four suspects arrested at the family property of former president Nelson Mandela has been postponed to next Friday.
The accused made a brief second appearance in the Johannesburg Magistrates Court on Friday, facing charges of robbery, kidnapping and assault.
The four were arrested last Wednesday at the Mandelas’ Houghton property after a hijacked vehicle was traced to the location and recovered.

The four suspects spent only a few minutes in court before their case was postponed.
They remain in custody at Sun City correctional facility, with their identities withheld until an identity parade is completed.
Eyewitness News understands the four had allegedly ordered an Uber from Randburg to Houghton, where they hijacked the driver and stole his vehicle, which was later found parked inside the Mandela property on 12th Avenue.
A grandson of Mandela was also arrested but has not been charged.
The prosecution, however, said he is “not off the hook” as police continue to investigate his possible involvement.
