JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development Vuyiswa Ramokgopa has encouraged pupils to continue their upward trend in producing excellent results.
On Thursday, Ramokgopa visited Matseliso Secondary School in Meadowlands.
As pupils settle into the 2025 school year, the issue of school nutrition is also being addressed.
In 2024, the province was hit by a wave of food poisoning cases that claimed several young lives.
Food nutrition programmes also remain a key service to ensure that learners can focus on their studies.
“I want to congratulate this very district Joburg West is the best-performing district in the whole of South Africa, do you know that? So you are coming from a place where excellence is born.”
