KZN govt lauds teachers for province's improved matric pass rate

DURBAN - The KwaZulu-Natal provincial government has lauded teachers in the province for an improved performance in the 2024 national senior certificate results.
The province ranked second nationally, obtaining 89.5%, which is a 3.1% increase from the 2023 results.
The province also obtained the highest bachelor passes and distinctions nationally.
Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli spoke at the results ceremony at the ICC in Durban on Tuesday.
"Teachers, they go extraordinarily sacrificing their time, families and leisure time for the sake of the success that we are celebrating today. I want to join our MEC for education, honourable Sipho Hlomuka, to say to our teachers, thank you, thank you and thank you."
