JOHANNESBURG - The oldest public school in Johannesburg, Jeppe High School for Boys, is celebrating a 100% pass rate this year.
The class of 2024 received the most bachelor passes and distinctions at 319,000 across the country.
With trimmed lawns, top-tier security, and world-class sports facilities, Jeppe Boys exudes excellence.
But behind the scenes, the school grapples with funding shortages and the challenges of aging infrastructure.
Principal Dale Jackson said it’s the school’s strong community spirit that helps them rise above.
"We're extremely excited about the 100% pass rate. Probably even more so with our 88% bachelor pass rate. And we’re especially proud of the boys who overcame significant challenges to succeed."
