CAPE TOWN - One person has died and at least seven people have sustained injuries after a taxi-related conflict erupted in Nyanga.
Police responded to Tuesday morning's shooting and confiscated 13 rifles and seven handguns.
Nineteen people were being questioned as part of the investigation.
Scores of commuters were left stranded as a result of the attack.
The Western Cape's Police Commissioner, Thembisile Patekile: "This morning, there was a shootout here in the taxi rank, between warring parties within the same taxi organisation. The shootout resulted in injuries and one person dying."
