JOHANNESBURG - The National Association of School Governing Bodies (NASGB) is calling on matriculants who did not perform well not to act impulsively.
NASGB general secretary, Matakanye Matakanya, was speaking at the Department of Basic Education's ministerial breakfast in Johannesburg honouring the country's top achievers of 2024.
He said while the country celebrates top achievers, learners who did not do well, must also be encouraged.
"In life, you always gain strength by failing. Fail and try again until you make it. Those who failed, go back and repeat, so next time they follow their friends going to universities...and colleges. And we are saying those going to colleges and universities, represent us well."
