SA Weather Service expecting week-long thunderstorms to continue

JOHANNESBURG - Week-long thunderstorms are expected to continue on Saturday.
According to the South African Weather Service (SAWS), strong and damaging winds are expected in various parts of the country.

Different provinces have been affected by torrential rains that have wreaked havoc in different communities.
“We stay expecting severe thunderstorms over Gauteng, the southern parts of Mpumalanga, the western areas of KwaZulu-Natal as well as the eastern half of the Eastern Cape province, expected to result in some damaging and strong winds, a possibility of hail, as well as the possibility of heavy downpours that might lead to localised flooding,” said forecaster Lehlohonolo Thobela.
