The nurses were robbed and raped at gunpoint in the early hours of Friday morning after a male suspect entered the premises and tied up the clinic’s security guards.
The organisation held a meeting with the Department of Health, where resolutions to the matter were discussed.
In the early hours of Friday morning, an alleged armed male suspect entered the clinic's security room and held up three guards at gunpoint.
It is understood he proceeded to enter the premises and robbed two nurses of their belongings before taking them to a nearby bush, where he instructed them to undress and raped them at gunpoint.
DENOSA said the clinic will close until Monday, 13 January, following the violent incident.
The organisation said all nurses would be referred for counselling, and the night duty shift would be suspended indefinitely.
Police have opened cases of business robbery, kidnapping, and two counts of rape and an investigation into the incident has begun.
Limpopo Police Commissioner Thembi Hadebe has assembled a multi-disciplinary team to fast-track the investigation.
Provincial police spokesperson Hlulani Mashaba said, "The provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has ordered an immediate investigation following a shocking and disturbing incident of business robbery, kidnapping, and two counts of rape that occurred at Ga-Chuene Clinic in Thokwageng Village.”
