JOHANNESBURG - The City of Tshwane is conducting further assessments on roads that have been closed due to storm damage.
The recent heavy rains have resulted in the closure of End Street, Rabie Street and the John Voster Drive intersection.

Engineers conducted a visual assessment that revealed a section of the road intersection leading to the End Street bridge had been washed away.
Parts of Gauteng saw heavy rain this week that led to flooding and damage to infrastructure.
The intersection will be closed until further notice to allow further assessments.
"The city pleads with motorists not to remove the barriers. The unauthorised use of the road is bound to cause further damages to the road surface and may at worst damage their vehicles, leading to possible injuries to the occupants,” said Tshwane spokesperson Lindela Mashigo.
