Western Cape Police Commissioner Tembisile Patekile was also among those at the Athlone Magistrates Court filled by angry residents on Friday.
The three suspects linked to Abrahams’ murder briefly appeared in court and are facing charges of murder, two counts of attempted murder and malicious damage to property.
Two other people were shot and wounded during a shootout between warring gangs.
The South African Police Service (SAPS)'s AntiGang Unit arrested the suspects on Tuesday.
Patekile said more police officers have been deployed in Maneberg to stabilise the area.
“We want to ensure that everybody helps us. Work with us to ensure that our children are safe where we stay. Ourselves, we continue to be getting guns out of our community and drugs because those are the sources of these conflicts in the areas where we live."
The three suspects have been remanded in custody and will appear on 17 January 2025 for bail application.
