Differential Capital's Vincent Anthonyrajah and Gary Booysen from Rand Swiss share their outlook for investment opportunities on The Money Show.
As the new year kicks off, top of mind for investors is choosing stocks that will deliver good returns in 2025.
Stephen Grootes invited two experts to help pick the best investment opportunities.

Vincent Anthonyrajah is the CEO of Differential Capital, and Gary Booysen a director at Rand Swiss.
The first question from Grootes is about the outlook for tech investor Naspers, which dropped 10% this week after the US designated Tencent (in which it has a major stake) a company that works with the Chinese military.

The company is still a buy, Anthonyrajah maintains.
"If you take a bigger look at what's happening in China, you've got a government that's stimulating the economy even while it's taking a while to get going... a big part of that underlying investment in Naspers is of course Tencent, and I think the prospects there are still really good."
"The company could surprise potentially on the upside over the next couple of years."

Concurring with this view, Booysen points out that one has to expect some volatility in China.
For South Africans, he also feels that either Naspers or Prosus needs to be in just about every local portfolio in some weighting.
"It's policies that drive the securities prices and if you look at the valuations compared to the tech valuations overseas, it's compelling."
"I think for South African investors as well it's one of the few entry points through the local market where you don't have to externalise funds, you don't have to go and use your allowances to get offshore."
Gary Booysen, Director - Rand Swiss
Booysen also makes the point that in general, historically, the time to buy is when there has been bad news.
