CAPE TOWN - The Two Oceans Aquarium is offering a three-year programme for those interested in marine life and marine science.
The programme is available for grades 10 to 12. Pupils can take these courses through their school or directly at the aquarium.
The Two Oceans Aquarium's Heather Wares said that practicals were done on-site.
"We're particularly proud of the classes that are offered for matrics and other high school learners. The content of these classes are done online, with the students having contact sessions where they do their practicals at the Two Oceans Aquarium."
She explained how teens could get involved.
"Anyone interested can email our marine science department at marinesciences@aquariumfoundation.org.za. Applications are closing on the 31st of January 2025, so hurry if you are interested, talk to your teachers, go onto our website and find all this information. We really are committed to spreading the news on marine education."
