CAPE TOWN - The five-year-old boy from Manenberg who was shot in an apparent gang shooting has died in hospital.
Police said that the boy was walking with his father to a nearby tuckshop when he was hit in the head by a stray bullet on Monday.
Two women, aged 31 and 54, who were sitting in front of a house on Irvine Street were injured in the crossfire.
Police spokesperson, FC van Wyk, said the arrested suspects would now face charges of murder and two counts of attempted murder.
"Three suspects aged 24, 26 and 31 were arrested yesterday [Tuesday] by Anti-Gang Unit detectives. They are due to appear in court once charged."
