Govt to provide Langa fire survivors necessary materials to rebuild their homes
Minister of Human Settlements Thembi Simelane and Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Njabulo Nzuza are expected to visit the area on Wednesday, following a blaze that destroyed nearly 300 structures on Boxing Day.

CAPE TOWN - Survivors of a devastating fire that left nearly 700 people without a roof over their heads in Langa township will be happy to know that they'll receive the necessary materials on Wednesday to begin rebuilding their homes.
Minister of Human Settlements Thembi Simelane and Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Njabulo Nzuza are expected to visit the area on Wednesday, following a blaze that destroyed nearly 300 structures on Boxing Day.

The Department of Home Affairs will also bring mobile offices to help survivors apply for documents destroyed in the fire.
Spokesperson Tsekiso Machike said, "The minister and deputy minister will oversee the significant government intervention."
