JOHANNESBURG - City Power is urging residents dealing with outages to be patient while teams work on restoring supply.
The entity has been dealing with a surge in outages across the city since last week due to inclement weather.
It said the wet weather has affected its ability to respond timeously to those affected, especially in the Northcliff area.
City Power said it has brought in additional resources to clear the backlog in outage calls.
Spokesperson Isaac Mangena said more technicians and contractors who were away have also returned, boosting its staff on the ground.
“It is only this part of Northcliff that is basically still having these issues, but we are working hard to deal with these issues. We are happy that currently, it seems like the weather gods are on our side and we can be able to expedite some of the work that needs to happen.”
