KZN Social Development MEC Shinga escapes car crash unharmed

DURBAN - KwaZulu-Natal Social Development MEC Mbali Shinga was involved in a car crash while travelling to work on Monday.

It's reported that the MEC's official motorcade was stuck in traffic when a speeding car ploughed into it.

Department spokesperson Thuba Vilane said she was unharmed.

"She escaped unharmed. She's currently in the office continuing with the business of the day. She's in good spirits, continuing with her work. She just extends the message of appreciation to everyone who was involved, especially the protectors," said Vilane.
