JOHANNESBURG - Three suspects who have been on the run for over a year will finally appear in court on Monday.

They are linked to a hijacking and business robbery dating back to October 2023, and will appear in the Giyani Magistrates Court in Limpopo on Monday.

The trio missed their 2023 court date, but an arrest warrant was only issued last month.

Provincial police spokesperson Stephen Thakeng said a team set up to track the suspects found and arrested them in Giyani on Friday.

"A suspect was arrested but failed to attend the regional court, and that's when his warrant of arrest was issued, which led to the additional arrests of two suspects with two unlicensed firearms and ammunition."
