CAPE TOWN - African National Congress (ANC) deputy president Paul Mashatile says it's all systems go for the party's 113th birthday celebrations.
ANC president, Cyril Ramaphosa, is set to deliver his January 8 statement at Mandela Park Stadium in Khayelitsha on Saturday.
Party supporters are expected to fill up the 22,000-capacity stadium.
Mashatile and other ANC NEC members, including Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams, visited Mfuleni township to convince residents to attend the party's birthday rally.
Mashatile said that the venue and transport had been secured.
"So arrangements are in place and this afternoon we will also brief the national executive committee. The statement by the president is also being finalised. The NEC will be briefed today and we will do some final touches. So, it's all systems go."
