JMPD officer fatally shot in Diepkloof, Soweto

JOHANNESBURG - A Johannesburg metro police officer was shot Tuesday morning in front of her family home in Soweto, Diepkloof.
Khensani Mabaso was on duty at the time of the incident, when she was found with fatal gunshot wounds.
JMPD believes that it was a possible case of robbery as the patrol vehicle that was parked outside of her home had missing personal items.
Law enforcement spokesperson, Xolani Fihla, said: "The JMPD extends its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends, and colleagues of Officer Mabaso. We assure them that we will leave no stone unturned in our pursuit of justice and to find the murderers of our beloved officer," said Fihla.
